Registered Respiratory Therapist and Respiratory Health Coach

Helping You Live Your Best Life with COPD, Asthma, or IPF

Do you struggle to breathe…or feel short of breath even when you are resting? Do you get winded just taking a shower or run out of breath walking across the room?

What is a Respiratory Health Coach?

While COPD, Asthma, and ILD/IPF cannot be reversed or cured, A Respiratory Health Coach can help you do 3 main things:  (1) Optimize your medications, (2) Work more effectively with your Doctor and Healthcare team and (3) Manage your symptoms such as Breathlessness. I do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe anything. I give you tools, one at a time, to help you live your best lung life!

Will Your Online Program Actually Help Me?

Hospital-based Pulmonary Rehabilitation has been proven to lessen the effects of COPD and other lung diseases. But not everyone can make it to a live program. If you stick with my online lessons, and do the exercises (if your Doctor says it’s OK), and work to achieve your goals, then YES it is my sincere promise you will start to feel better.

About Me

COPD Success exists to serve people with COPD, Asthma, ILD, PF, PH, and parents of kids with asthma. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist with over 30 years of experience, I wanted to create a resource to help people who do not have access to traditional Pulmonary Rehab programs.

I have been teaching Pulmonary Rehab for over 20 years, graduating 6 patients every 6 weeks. That’s 48 people every year who can get out, do more, and resume doing the things they love.

All of my graduates said the same thing:
It helped tremendously. They loved the program. They got their life back.
Some even got off of oxygen.

But I realized: 48 patients a year is just a fraction of the number of people who have COPD and Asthma.

I should be graduating 48 HUNDRED people a year.
Thus, I built this site for YOU.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation has been proven to decrease breathlessness, and increase endurance and strength. Pulmonary Rehab is generally offered at major medical centers. Insurance or Medicare usually pays.

But what if:

  • You live too far to travel to Pulmonary Rehab 3 days a week?

  • The co-pay per visit is too high?

  • Your insurance doesn’t cover Pulmonary Rehab?

  • You’ve already used up your Pulmonary Rehab benefits?

  • You’re still working, or

  • Most commonly, you no longer drive and transportation is an issue?

I built this program for those exact people.

I had a vision — where everyone with lung disease could safely and affordably improve their health, one step at a time.

If you wish to subscribe, read my blog, and explore the site, I promise you will learn a lot.

So grab a cup of coffee or tea, get comfy, snoop around the site, and enjoy.

I do not diagnose, prescribe nor treat anything! This site is not intended to take the place of your Doctor. I am here to empower you to ask the right questions, have the right tools, and help you get what you need from your healthcare team.
