YOU, v. 2.0

Have you ever thought about what the next version of you would look like? Many of us just go along with the way we are, adding aging, food choices,  and other unhealthy habits into the factors that make us what we are today.

My yoga teacher does this one move– one I have been working on for 3 years, and I still can’t do it. And every time I tell myself that I can’t do it, I hear the admonition: ” There are no ‘I can’ts ‘ allowed in my class”!!

I have to consciously tell myself, I can and I will. And keep working towards it. No excuses. Not even gravity?

Stay with me here, even though this will sound really law-of-attraction-y. There’s an additional step, and I’m going to reveal it to you right here.

I can and I will, and this is what it looks like. See yourself in it. See yourself walking from the farthest parking spot all the way to the mall entrance. See yourself eating healthy foods. See yourself preparing enough healthy meals at home so that you don’t need to go to fast food places.

So take just a minute here and think about ONE thing you would like to have happen to you  that would create a better version of you.

Maybe it’s you, springing out of bed and putting on your tenni’s to go for a short walk first thing in the morning.

Maybe it’s you, taking a local cooking class and learning all the things you can do with fresh produce.

Maybe it’s you going past the cigarette store and driving right on by, saying, ” I don’t smoke”.

Maybe it’s you, in the pool and swimming a couple of laps.

Maybe it’s you, in tripod headstand, both legs up to the ceiling without the wall to catch you. OK, that’s me, but you get the idea!
